How do I practice self-care?

How do you practice self-care?

For me, self-care isn’t about luxury spas or expensive getaways. It’s about listening to my body and honoring what it needs — physically, mentally, and emotionally.

Some days, self-care looks like waking up a bit earlier to sit in silence with my cup of tea before the world rushes in. On others, it’s saying “no” without guilt and choosing a rest over routine.
It’s unplugging from screens when my mind feels cluttered, and going for a walk with no destination — just to feel the sun and breathe.

Self-care is also messy at times. It’s crying when I need to, journaling out the chaos in my head, or calling a friend just to say, “I’m not okay today.”

I’ve realized that self-care isn’t always peaceful. Sometimes, it’s doing the hard thing — like setting boundaries or choosing a salad over chips. It’s growth in disguise.

But above all, self-care is a gentle reminder every day:
“I matter. My well-being matters.”

That’s how I’ve been practicing self-care lately. Now I’d love to hear from you — how do you show up for yourself when life gets overwhelming?
Do you have a go-to ritual or something that instantly makes you feel grounded?
